This subject is both fascinating and challenging, but we are always excited to share our insights and experiences with you.
We will discuss three skincare brands that we find worth buying again. We’ll provide a brief introduction to these brands, share a personal skincare journey, describe experiences with the three brands, review the used routines, and reveal the products I am currently using.
Let’s embark on this beauty journey together and explore the products. Here are some of the brands and products that have managed to make a positive difference in my skincare routine.
Which Brands Will We Discuss?

OLEHENRIKSEN
For many, OLEHENRIKSEN is a well-known name. A Danish man with a passion for skincare, Ole Henriksen’s brand is synonymous with the “OleGlow,” which refers to the joy and radiance his products aim to impart to customers. Furthermore, the products are cruelty-free and have a delightful scent, despite containing less than 1% synthetic fragrance.
YROLI
Yroli is also a Danish skincare brand, founded in 2018 by Jette and Trine-Lise. Together, they aim to make a difference in how we consume skincare. Jette and Trine-Lise are conscious of quality, responsibility and reducing consumption, and they strive to inspire consumers to adopt the same mindset. Yroli uses natural ingredients with clinically proven effects, resulting in effective and functional products. Their signature ingredients include microalgae, oils, extracts from Nordic berries, and African oils such as Baobab and Marula.
ANUA
ANUA is a South Korean skincare brand dedicated to producing the most effective products with active and natural ingredients. ANUA claims that their products are pleasant to use and provide immediate effects. They insist on using gentle ingredients in their formulations, avoiding those that can irritate the skin. To achieve the best results, ANUA continuously works on their formulas within the framework of natural and active ingredients. My Skincare Journey: Challenges and Solutions
I have navigated through numerous skincare brands, and my journey to achieving beautiful skin, had a challenging start. It began with my desire to of, course look after my skin in a young age, but also wear less makeup to cover blemishes and unevenness. I wanted that clean makeup look. Therefore, I wanted to focus on effective skincare rather than using makeup as a form of symptom treatment. I watched countless YouTube videos about skincare, exploring different brands, routines, and before-and-after transformations.
I tested multiple skincare products, one brand at a time, receiving guidance in stores about my skin type and recommended products. Despite trying several popular brands that others seemed to love, they simply did not work for me. I started to break out a lot, and that was never really an issue for me beforehand. I gave each brand approximately six months to ensure a fair trial, knowing that it’s common for skin to react when starting a new skincare routine or switching products. Unfortunately, I had to abandon several brands, which left me feeling hopeless about skincare—a field I find so fascinating. It was also challenging to witness others benefiting from products that didn’t work for me. Not to forget the money I spend – skincare is often not cheap, and I was studying at the time. Yikes – Oh well 😀
Then, I started using OLEHENRIKSEN and was thrilled to find a brand and product line that truly benefited my skin, bringing more calmness and balance. I didn’t experience breakouts, my skin’s unevenness improved, and it became well-hydrated and smooth. After a few years of using OLEHENRIKSEN, I coincidentally discovered Yroli and had the opportunity to try a Face Kit and some hair products. It was clear, both in usage and scent, that Yroli emphasized clean, natural ingredients and a minimalist routine. Once I finished those products, I was completely ready to repurchase, but I happened to come across ANUA and began trying their offerings.
Different Routines and Textures
Please note that the brands have many different products, and I have not tried them all. These are my experiences with some of the routines and products I have tried.
OLEHENRIKSEN
OLEHENRIKSEN and ANUA are similar in their routines and product application steps, with approximately five steps. Yroli has about three steps.
OLEHENRIKSEN offers a wide range of products divided into series. I have tried a few from various series, but I consistently return to the TRUTH series (the orange series). I use the Truth Juice Daily Cleanser, which feels very smooth and soft on the skin and is easy to apply. For toner, I switch to the Transform series (the blue series) and use the Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner, which helps even out my skin tone. Once the skin is dry, I apply the Truth Serum. It is quite concentrated, and the pump can be a bit tricky to control, so be careful not to use too much. However, it feels wonderful and certainly contributes to achieving the OleGlow. Next, I use the C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème, which has a lovely subtle yellow color and is also very smooth and soft. It gives a fresh glow that does not look greasy. Overall, these products work well for me, providing my skin with more evenness, calmness, OleGlow and balance.
YROLI
Yroli has approximately three steps, including Micellar Water, Eye Serum, Face Oil, and Hydrate Overnight. They have more products, of course, but I used their Face Kit, which contains these items. I experienced a pleasant and easy-to-follow routine that felt fantastic and very much like a spa experience. Yroli’s products are featured in several spa and wellness centers, and for good reason. I tend to have oily skin, so I feared my skin would not react well to their Face Oil, which is used in the morning. It was not a problem at all; my skin remained hydrated all day, and my makeup looked surprisingly good on it. Possibly the best my makeup has ever looked on any skincare.
ANUA
ANUA offers a Deep Pore Cleansing Foam, and it is undoubtedly one of the best cleansers I have ever tried. It feels incredibly smooth, with some discrete grains, leaving my skin completely clean and soft after use. After the first application, I noticed something different, realizing it was the effect of the cleanser. I follow with their Soothing Toner, which I also use on my neck and chest. It cleanses and tightens my skin in a delightful and natural way, drying quickly. After the toner, I use the Niacinamide Serum, which is light and very efficient. I use four drops on my face, which sometimes also cover parts of my neck. It is non-greasy and absorbs quickly. I also use this on my neck and chest. I can’t say anything other than it is incredibly wonderful, and feels silky when applying!
Lastly, I use their Soothing Cream, which is also very efficient, so only a small amount is needed. I haven’t found a eye cream from ANUA, so I use either OLEHENRIKSEN or Yroli. If I find one, or if ANUA releases an eye cream, I will definitely try it!
I’m not going to lie—I am extremely satisfied with the ANUA products I have tried so far. The textures are entirely different, and it may be the best brand in terms of the sensation and feeling that something good is happening for my skin, from the first application.
Current Skincare Routine and Insights
Currently, I am using ANUA because I have never experienced such a pleasant application, and I can feel it benefiting my skin. However, at EleganceExplorerHub, we are always open to trying other brands or returning to previous ones. We will continue to explore and share our skincare discoveries with you.
